Is it really the end of April?

Time has been extremely strange for the whole of the past year but this April seems to have sped by. It has been unusually cold and very dry but it has meant the daffodils and tulips in my garden have lasted longer, though I noticed just in time that the flowers in tubs needed water before they keeled over and died of thirst. April really has whizzed past hasn’t it. I wonder if it’s because we had such an early Easter. I love that last question. Lol!

We are supposed to be going on a Nordic walk to see bluebells on Tuesday and it looks like it’s going to pour with rain :(

We're going out tomorrow and the weather forecast keeps changing as to whether it is going to be showery or not. We need the rain but I hope your bluebell walk is dry.

I love the last question too. In my case it should be more "have you ever not lived on an island?" :)

I could have written your first paragraph exactly.

The daffs are doing remarkably well, the tubs need watering, and I suddenly realised that the bulbs bought as part of a job lot in February, that were to be planted in Apri, were still in the packet about 4 days ago as it hadn't occurred to me that we were almost finished with April!

It hadn't occurred to me we were almost finished with April either. I have seeds that were supposed to be planted in April that are still in the packet. I think, as spring is rather late this year, I am deciding that the first week of May still counts as April!
