Double jabbed and ducklings!

May 15, 2021 16:06

I got my second vaccination on Thursday and in less than two weeks should be at least a bit protected from whatever Covid decides to throw at us next (Indian variant heading our way). Unfortunately J doesn't get his second jab for just over a week so even if we felt inclined to go out and frolic on Monday we won't be. I now have my vaccine card ( Read more... )

we need air conditioning over here as we have long weeks with really hot temperatures.

The ducklings are adorable. The other day I saw goslings which were equally adorable (although Canadian geese aren't high on my list of birds that I like).

Lovely flowers. Our garden has been spectacular this spring.

We sometimes have very hot spells in summer but not as hot as you get.

The ducklings were like little balls of fluff. They were very near the path so we had a much closer view of them than we would usually get.

Most of my tulips are over now so I was surprised these were still out. We have had a chilly spring so a lot of spring flowers have lasted longer.

I’m glad you’ve felt OK after your second vaccine. I’ve entered my Covid vaccine dates on the Covid symptoms app which is what was suggested to me as a permanent record. Mind you - I’ve kept the card too. I’m sure my GP must know what I’ve had.

Ducks are dead cute.

I was told the information would be linked with my GP's records so they would know. They also said the card will be replaced with some form of electronic record too but I've photographed the card just to be on the safe side.

Ducks are definitely cute.

The pics are lovely! Gorgeous gardens there! And tulips with blooming rhodies? My goodness!

Congrats on your second jab!

Thanks! It's quite a relief.

I was surprised the tulips were still out as mine in my garden are more or less over. The rhododendrons are in sheltered spot and in a couple of weeks there will be more of them. Those gardens are a pleasure to visit as there is always something to see.

Congrats on your second jab! My husband and I are getting our first tomorrow. I'm kind of nervous - more for the anticipation of dreading the needle and worry about potential side effects.

Beautiful flowers! Adorable ducks!

Wow. Only one car!

I loathe oven cleaning as well. It's been so long since I've done it. Michael has ended up having to do it the last couple of times, especially when it got so gross after last Thanksgiving.

Thanks :) I don't mind needles too much as I just look away. I was so relieved about getting my first jab that the side effects seemed pretty minor. If you are getting the Pfizer a friend of mine had that and had hardly any side effects at all.

We don't have a car at all now as we live in a place with very good public transport. Our car used to spend most of its time sitting outside rusting gently so when it finally died we didn't replace it. Now, of course, one would be handy but we've learnt to do without.

I find that delegating oven cleaning to husbands is the best move :)
