I wondered if Brighton was normally like that. I don't associate it with swimming in the sea as it's a place we always used to go to in winter rather than risk the summer crowds. We thought it would be safe enough midweek and before the school holidays and it just about was.

We're quite lucky as the platforms at our local station are long so we were well spread out on the platform and the train wasn't busy at all. It felt fine to be travelling again. Hope you had a good vacation.
I'm told our new neighbours are nice but apparently they aren't moving in yet so I will have to wait and see.
