It wouldn't have crossed my mind either if I hadn't consulted Google. Unfortunately it was less helpful when it came to plastic hangers but I will be very happy to get rid of the metal ones.
I have no wire coat hangers otherwise I would do they same - good idea!
I love parquet flooring - we suspect there may be parquet under the carpets in the front rooms of the house so one day we’ll have to lift the carpets and find out!
All of the downstairs rooms in my parents' house had parquet flooring when we moved there in 1965. The leaking washing machine did for the parquet in the kitchen but the rest of it was still there, though the parquet in the sitting room was covered with carpet when the room was extended. We couldn't put the parquet in the sitting room on the estate agent's blurb when the house was sold because we couldn't lift the carpet to check and they wouldn't accept my memory that it was still there. You might well find yours is still there too.

Even for us, where we have had less restrictions and shorter lockdown time, socialising is more tiring now, too.

I have no idea where all our wire hangers came from as I don't use the dry cleaners that often.
