I had a nice surprise last Thursday when friend C sent me a message to say she would be in the area on Friday and could we meet up. It turned out that her husband had taken a party of teenagers away on a camping trip and several of them had tested positive for Covid. 20. We've got a lot of milk at the moment and I seldom think of mornay sauce! It sounds like a delicious change of pace.

It was very tasty, though I shouldn't say that. I think it helped that I actually measured the ingredients rather than tossed in the quantity that I thought looked about right :)

It would have been a pity to go in to a shop to try and get rid of a few things only to walk out with more.

I totally understand this! I have to be pulled back at charity shops … !

Having cleared two parental homes where things had got out of control we kept meaning to get a grip on ours but it was the sight of our former neighbours rushing round like headless chickens when they were moving out that really motivated us. We have accumulated/inherited a *lot* of stuff over the years.

The little antique shop was an overflow of a bigger one, and I deliberately didn't ask where that was, but there was some nice china in it and the owner had some lovely wooden boxes. If I hadn't been in declutter mode I would have been very tempted.
