Meme-y

It's been one of those weeks where we have done useful but boring things so I won't share the useful tedium. Instead have this lovely thread from Twitter (and it isn't often I can write that).

This petrol thing is madness isn’t it??

Lovely reason to tweet :)

It was and so lovely that one of the nurses saw the tweet.

The petrol thing is insane. Tell people not to panic buy and obviously they think they must panic buy.

I still have an iPod - can't remember which type it is other than that it's not a classic - that my husband bought me nine years ago. I don't use it often anymore, but I still have it as a backup.

I hate the fact that perfectly useful devices are now supposed to be obsolete so I intend to use my iPod as long as I can. It's always good to have a backup though :)

Definitely good to have back-ups. I tend to take my extra electronics on plane rides or long road trips just in case my battery life dies.

I'm neurotic about having back-ups. When I'm using my actual camera I always have a spare battery with me just in case even if the battery in the camera is fully charged.

I love both those tweets in different ways.

So did I. It was so nice that one of the nurses saw the first tweet. I've seen other versions of the second tweet involving bookshops and panic buying of books :)

I loved that meme, too. I didn't know initially what they were talking about but have since found out about the panic petrol buying.

It's one of the times when I'm glad we don't have a car and are used to walking!

There was another good version of that meme about panic buying books :)
