Blowing the cobwebs away

We went to Brighton for the day on Thursday and it was just the sort of day that my mother would have prescribed to get rid of a cold and "blow the cobwebs away". The wind was blowing really strongly which meant that there were actual waves, which is the way I really prefer the sea.

Which restaurant in Hove is your favourite - I can't think of somewhere where I've seen a lot of Chinese students, but I'm always up for a new place when we visit Eldest Cee.

I love seeing the sea like that - preferable from inside somewhere comfy and warm though *g*

The restaurant isn't actually in Hove. We walked to Hove and then walked back towards Brighton. It's the Regency Fish Restaurant which is directly opposite the new BA thing. A friend recommended it and we've always found it very good, but it seemed particularly good on Thursday.

I was on the Pier when I took that photo so not comfy and warm but the wind was very exhilarating, and not actually cold. I love the sea like that too and am always a bit disappointed when I go to the sea and don't see waves.

29. I wouldn't either. Bungee jumping is also a big no. Great heights are not to be messed with.

Definitely not. I did consider saying I wouldn't do a parachute jump but I suppose I might if the plane was on fire!

I do love the sea when it is like that - as long as I'm not going on the boat anyway!

Could you recommend the road? It would be nice if they had family nearby.

There was a choice of 2 roads. Julia and her mum preferred one and her daughter and husband preferred another. We were with Julia and her mum, which I think is what they wanted to hear :)

I was glad I wasn't on a boat on Thursday but I have been across the Channel in weather like that. Great to look at but not fun to be on.
