I spent the last five days in St. Louis with my dad and my grandma.  They're doing relatively well and it was good to see them.  Grandma is 84 and still dancing, still driving, still enjoying herself, but she has definitely slowed down a bit.  Her knees get stiff when she sits too long and she has to take heart medication a couple times a day.  Dad ( Read more... )

Deviated septum surgery? Yikes. I had an Aunt who had it and said it was one of the worst recoveries ever. It took forever and didn't help all that much which I guess is the norm. I'll pray for Julie. Is hers going to be that invasive?

Yay for wedding photographers. Are you getting a video too? Are they gonna post your photos online? You gonna do an engagement session? Fun times. - Katrina

So far, Julie says that she can already breathe better than before. She used to be able to only breathe out of one side of her nose (and never knew it). She's recovering fairly well already - even with the tonsils portion of it, she can already talk and eat soft foods.

Nope, we're cheap. No engagement session and no videographer. But yes, they will be posting our pictures online for 30 days after the wedding and people can order their own prints if they want, so that's a nice perk.
