Things have certainly been interesting around here lately. And busy too. I'd try to use that as an excuse for my Christmas gifts being even later than Angelina and Oliver's... but you all know I'm just disorganized about things like this.

Yes, my copies are rather well-loved. I think I'll donate them to the school library. And those shoes are adorable. I'll even be able to wear them to work when it gets warmer.

As for the picture, well, how thoughtful. I'm really touched.

I'm sure some of the girls would love to take a break from their NEWTs to read something a bit more entertaining. And I happen to know my mum is sending you a red cardigan that will look lovely with those shoes. Perfect for a sauce-pot librarian.

I think I saw Wayne Hopkins and Parvati Patil discussing Jane Austen in his journal. I should mention it to them.

Private to Katie and Angelina: Thank Godfrey for that! I can't imagine how mortified I'd be if they ever became visible to the outside world. If I thought that Terence's reaction to my tattoo (which I completely blame you for, Angelina) was bad..
