Is it worth it to start something if you know that it's inevitably going to end anyway?

What can I even say? I have been, and am still feeling so direction-less. Last week Nick and I climbed a mini-mountain huge hulking mass of rock. I stood up there and watched everything stretch out in every direction and felt good, full, prepared. It is horrifying for it to be Sunday night and to look at a to-do list one made on Thursday afternoon for the weekend ahead and find that one has apparently only done approximately 4 things on the list.
