I took the kitten to the vet this morning to get spayed.  There were a bunch of other people in the waiting area, and one by one they got their carriers back and left.  The vet-in-training looked at me apologetically and said, "it's just going to be a bit."  She comes back five minutes later and says, "um, we're actually going to keep your carrier ( Read more... )

Finish my thesis.  Visit Sarah Baldwin (and American University) in DC.  Have an orgy of reunions during senior week.  Start taking Plaquenil.

The most frustrating part right now is that I finally sucked it up and decided to find a support group... and there aren't any.  Not for me, anyway.  Lupus affects nearly four times as many women of color as it does us whiteys, meaning anything near my neighborhood is meant for black women.  Lupus is often not diagnosed until middle age, or near to ( Read more... )
