The boxes for our vegetable gardens are constructed. This weekend we are going to buy the soil mixture for them and start planting. Hooray! Re: Accident

This nearly happened the other day on my way home from work. I live by three schools so, when I'm coming home around 3, there are a lot of children crossing the street. The car in front of me stopped at a cross walk as did the car coming in the opposite direction. The children started to cross the street and the guy behind me (not realizing why we were all stopped???) swerved around and tried to pass in the turning lane. Fortunately, he saw the kids at the last moment and slammed on his brakes. I've never wished so much to be an off-duty cop.

Re: Swing
My parents and sister have one of these. I love them and wish I had a place to hang one so I could relax with a book outside. They just cradle you so nicely.

Re: Garden

We just got an $80 compost bin for free from a family program at our local library about composting. It's so great! They said if we were diligent we can have compost in 6 weeks:)

The kids have a lot of fun identifying things we can compost and recycle:)
