Yet another rainy day and therefore another day that I cannot work in my garden. The weeds are winning.
Madelyn had her first sleep-over last night. They are both light sleepers, so they were restless. This resulted in two 7 year olds sleeping on the floor of our bedroom at 2am. Sigh. Then trying to not wake them up when Jared got up for work at ( Read more... ) -

I am having an emotional day.
First of all, money is tight. A large part of our income is my school loans. I get a check once every 6 months. My next check come one month from now and it's getting tight. It's stressful. Money stinks. I'm sure that you would all agree with that fact. Three years until residency feels far away.

Visiting the zoo is such an ageless experience. Once I get past the sadness that these poor animals are stuck in cages, I love seeing the animals and learning about them as much as my kids. The Erie Zoo is small in comparison to the ones found in larger cities, but it's only a 30min drive from our house and can be thoroughly enjoyed in less then a ( Read more... ) -

We experienced our first auction the other night. It was 95degrees in a pole barn and it was very loud. The auction was full of building supplies. We were on a mission to find a new door. I'm embarrassed to say that I slept in until 9:30am and then took a nap this afternoon. I am in some sort of funk. It's most likely hormonally charged. I did, however, do 1.5 hours of advanced yoga this morning. Today was breezy and in the 60s, perfect for drying clothes on the line. I also worked in the garden for a while.

A weekend at the Fingerlakes
I had a beautiful weekend with my mom and sister in NY state fingerlakes region. The weather was beautiful and the company even more beautiful.
