this made me laugh out loud. I guess I should be thankful that Reagan isn't quite at chatterbox status...YET. She just repeats the same things over and over again, and generally only when she is upset or annoyed or both (lots of "HEY!! HEY!! THATS MINE!! WHAT YOU DOING!!? THATS MINE!" from her to Chloe, thanks to her waving something in Chloe's face that Chloe then snatches, lol).
I try very hard to appreciate this gem of her personality. It can be exasperating, however. Especially since we've been doing a good deal of 3-hour drives back and forth to our old home. If she doesn't fall asleep, she will talk the WHOLE time. I will designate 10 minutes of no talking and she'll spend most of it saying, "Are we not talking now?"
LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you for the awesomeness of this post. i have to say, ben is more likely to be like this when we are NOT in the car. it's one of my favorite things about car rides, they offer me some peace. he will never ever sit quietly and entertain himself the way he does when we're in the car. (not every ride, just that there's that potential there)
i love snort too :-)
do you answer the questions? i can't stand to answer every one of ben's why questions because mostly they don't make sense and i know he knows half the answers. if i feel it's a legitimate question, i'll answer, but most of the time, it only leads to another round of questions.
I noticed that a car ride in the rain produces quiet.
Whether or not I answer the questions depends on my mood. She is so incredibly persistent, so if I'm feeling impatient, I tend to answer them more. I've found nodding and shaking my head tends to suffice for a lot of the answers.
The other day I went for a jog (yeah I started jogging) with her in the jogging stroller and she talked the WHOLE TIME. I finally told her I wasn't going to talk anymore until [insert landmark here] and she would ask one question about 10 times, then when I wouldn't answer it, she'd switch to another question, then another, then another.
It's amazing. Sometimes it makes me laugh really hard. In the car ride before this post, I just couldn't contain the laughter. Then I got the question, "What are you laughing about?" and I didn't want to give her the answer because if she knew I thought all these questions were funny, it would be gasoline on the fire.
