Usually, when Liam has something he shouldn't, I say "not for babies" and take it. Recently, this has upset him even when I trade him for something he can have. So, today I tried holding out my hand and saying "please give that to Mommy." A year ago today, the test came back positive. The past 12 months have been pretty freaking amazing.

Liam looked at Ian while he was talking about Futerama and playing video games, clearly said, “geek!” then laughed at him.

Ian's birthday is 13 days before mine. Ian's mother's birthday is 13 days before Liam's and 13 days after mine. Ian's dad's birthday is 16 days after Liam's on August 13. I think that is pretty cool.

I just saw a bicyclist stop at a red light and pull his ipod shuffle (in a sandwich bag) out of his mouth.
I wonder if he can skip songs with his tongue.

In other news, I made three pies from scratch today - apple, strawberry rhubarb, and (for the first time ever) peach. I am looking forward to trying them tomorrow.

Chow Yun doesn't act very catlike often, but when she does, MAN she does a good job.
There I was making enchiladas from scratch when she approaches my feet for attention, mews a couple times, then pukes in the middle of the kitchen floor - talk about taking away my appetite!
