Sorry for not posting in a while... I don't think the site has been working, because I tried to post last weekend and it didn't work. Another week is over... and I am exhauster. So I spent a nice quiet weekend in this weekend... yesterday I went with Lily's parents to her play that she was in, Bugsy Malone. It was in this amazingly small old theatre in the middle of Geneva... it was so cute! Kind of reminded me of the Empire Theatre in Belleville. I've finally got time to post on this thing... this weekend has been very jam packed. I drove to Geneva on Saturday morning to meet Laura and Susan. We decided to go hiking (in the Swiss Alps!!) I picked them up, and we drove out and got lunch/breakfast at Coop, which is a big grocery store chain here. I have been trying lots of great food since I' ( Read more... )

I arrived in Switzerland one week ago yesterday. It feels like I have been here 7 months instead of 7 days. It is really really strange living with another family. I don't really have any set hours, and while I do have set duties, I am expected to help out whenever I can. Today Lily's mom drove her to school because I am feeling pretty sick. So today I got up nice and early to take Lily to school... and then I came home and showered and took the train to Geneva! It was great, the city is really nice (its a lot different when you are lost and super stressed). I met up with Laura and Susan which was great - it was nice to see some familiar faces! So yesterday I attempted to drive into Geneva, and oh boy was that a big mistake. I was supposed to meet Laura and Susan down by the water (which is really pretty) but there was some marathon going on, and they had blocked off where I was supposed to turn. So today I said goodbye to the family, who are going away for the weekend, and I got the house to myself! I was supposed to go into Geneva, but Laura and Susan ended up having to work, so I am going to visit them tomorrow. I was running around packing like crazy last minute, because I did a really bad packing job in Ottawa and was missing a ton of stuff (I completely forgot to pack socks!?)
