I love Racialicious.com, a blog about pop culture, race issues, and sex/gender/feminist issues.

I read this article today about street harassment of women. And cried because I was able to say to myself, "I'm not alone."

The time has come

It's November, and in Ireland there is no technical Thanksgiving to hold people back like in the States, so Christmas time has exploded! An unforseen positive to having an internship that counts as a class, and no other classes, is the free time I have every night, with no homework looming over my head. I have to say the dorms do not impress me. I was aware of the double rooms, and how five rooms per suite shared a common room and kitchen. But the size of everything surprised me. I am in Dublin, Ireland for the semester to study abroad at Dublin City University (actually in Glasnevin, very quaint). I hate my apartment. Really hate it. And housing is frozen until next Friday. I seriously cannot go another semester sharing a room with that girl and a building with these people.

Cute Baby is Cute

My cousin Brian, his wife and baby are visiting from Las Vegas. Cara is probably the cutest baby I have ever seen. She's just past one, so can't really walk, but does that cute unbalanced todder. She also loves cats, so every time she sees ours she smiles and laughs and claps her hands and I WANT A BABY!
