They ended up doing the surgery first thing Wednesday morning, after being postponed yet again. She was on a ventilator and unconcious for almost 24 hours after her surgery, and they woke her up at about noon on Thursday. She was on the ventilator and awake for about fifteen minutes before they took it out, so they could make sure she was capable ( Read more... )

So, my mom has had pnemonia for a week. It started last Thursday, when she ended up spending the day in the hospital with that and pleurosy. Then, on Monday, she went to see our general practitioner and he sent her back to the emergency room because over the weekend, while she was on out of control antibiotics from her first trip to the hospital ( Read more... )

It's beautiful here. When it's not cold and rainy. I have an interview at a yarn store called "Cultured Purls" in Issaquah (the town we're actually living in) tomorrow morning.
