I'm too tired to relate the experiences of the move, but as they involve puking, poopy panties (not mine), and punctured tires, I'm not sure you would want to hear about them anyway. ;) We arrived safely, which is what matters most.

Today was a first. I told a real-life friend that I write HP fanfiction. She wants to read it. I told her I'll give her the URL on the day we move away (less than two weeks from now -- eep!), just in case she thinks it sucks. :P Also, I don't want to be around for her husband to blame when she gets addicted to the Quill.

Despite the fact that I have several Really Important Things to prepare for this week, I chose to write fanfic instead. Erm...maybe Hermione's not the only one who needs to sort out her priorities. *blushes* But who cares? The Gavin Black fic (now titled "Patchwork") is finished! Go, me! :D It'll probably be at the Quill sometime next week.

I've started a follow-up story to "Beautiful Morning", tentatively titled "Piecework". While Gavin learns to weave, he and his siblings take the opportunity to confront their parents about the HUGE, GAPING HOLES in their courtship story. ;) Here is a snippet:
