I am in Houston for the summer. Working at an oil engineering company that my dad works for. I'm an Operations Intern, which means I'm an administrative assistant doing the work the other secretaries don't have the time to do. It's not too bad really. I leave France early tomorrow morning. It's a very mixed feeling. I am going to miss France and Grenoble and my time here so much. Especially my friends I've made here. And Grenoble surrounded by mountains is so beautiful that almost everyday waiting at the bus stop I would look up and think "Oh my god, I really do live in this beautiful place." ( Read more... )

yesterday i had a somewhat dramatic bike accident. i was riding my bike into town, actually to return it to the bike rental office (the city rents them out. 15 euros for students per month.) Whereupon I had the most spectacular fall. I was going downhill and the bike lane ended. There was a tiny low curb and my bike decided it didnt want to over it ( Read more... )

Swedish people, as well as all being ridiculously attractive, are very fun to hang out with. That is just one of the things I learned this weekend.
