Suffering through??? It's such a good read. Admittedly, it helps if you know Russian because otherwise you won't get a few of the puns. But once you get used to the writing style it's so great. Also this is one of the very few examples of books with a GOOD movie adaptation.

Yeah, I have to put my foot in my mouth a bit on this one. I was infuriated through the entire first chapter having to flip to the glossary every third word, but now that I've gotten used to most of the words I'm kind of into it. I am a little embarrassed that I spent so much time shit-talking these last couple days.

i didn't get it at first but you have to like...allow it into your world. trainspotting was just as bad, and that didn't even have a glossary but needed one even worse!
