Gluh. Man, do headwounds bleed A LOT.

But I'm glad he's OK, and you're OK, even if he'll be hyper and you'll be tired, for awhile.

(I get sick not at blood, but when people prod wounds and stuff. Fun fun.)

Yes, yes, they do. There is a difference, however, between knowing this intellectually, and the actual experience of looking at far too much blood coming out of someone you love. Especially a child you love.

Am vigorously resisting urge to seal child in plastic bubble for remainder of his childhood. Wouldn't work anyway - he'd just bruise himself on the sides of the bubble.

Yeah, there sure is. (I found this out via calluna's Thumb Thing, which also bled like a stuck pig, and left me a little, how to say, /on edge/. Not a child, but.)

Plastic bubbles just make for bad circulation. Nodnod.

(Hug.)

Hopefully he will behave and his healing will be totally boring for you. You held it together at the scene and in the ambulance ... I think that is an accomplishment.

With respect to head injuries, boring is good. Thanks!
