Oh man. My ex and his brother used to play a game called "arms" which involved a bunch of guys standing around punching each other in the arms. So one time I was at this party and I was really, really, really wasted, and I asked this guy Matt (who smelled better than anyone else in the world but that's really neither here nor there, whatever that means) if he wanted to play arms. He said yes and so logically I punched him in the face and I was wearing a very large ring at the time plus he was a pretty scrawny, wussy guy. I don't remember how he reacted to that but he ended up punching me in the arm and I had a ginormous bruise from that. When I was at the gym later that week one of the trainers asked me how I got the bruise and I tried to explain the game of arms to him but you know he actually thought I was some abused woman making up a dumb ass story because I couldn't admit to the horrors of my abusive relationship.
My bruise on my leg is very coverable, since I have long stretchypants at the gym right now. But I do happen to have a really ugly one right in the middle of my bicep. I don't remember how I got that one at all. I also have one on each forearm, but they're most likely from doing upper blocks last week, and are fading rapidly.
But, I've totally been there, trying to explain a legitimate reason for a bruise, and knowing it sounds like total crap.

Gotta know what it feels like if you want to do it to someone else, right?
