Hi!  I'm Kat - I completely missed the official meme but I'm friending you all anyway!  I've got a pretty open door policy on friending and I never take defriending personally.  I have been missing the "old days of LJ" myself and this seemed like a great way to get more involved

Hi! I'm always late with everything (including being a latecomer to Buffy fandom) so I totally understand missing the meme window.

I'm also one of those people whose interest in BtVS would never have reached its current heights if Spike hadn't been part of the show. I haven't read much Spred (I'm more of a Spillyria girl myself) but I will definitely give your stories a try when I find the time.

Thanks for stopping by! No worries on the fanfic - I'm terribly picky myself so I never take it the wrong way when people don't read. Another fanfic I'm trying to finish is Spike/Fred with bits of Illyria bleeding through - though when Illyria does pop out, they argue more than anything. I've never gotten into Spike/Illyria because I love Fred so much, but I did write a fanfic for a ficathon that requested SPIKE as Illyria. That was interesting. And hard! Poor Spike :(

I used to have multiple episodes on VHS so I can understand the feeling of being "old." I still struggle with the fact that the '90's were over 20 years ago.

HA! Yes, our neighborhoods were built in the '80s and a lady was saying how the houses are 30 years old now and I'm like, HUH?! I'm going to have my 30th high school reunion in 2 years. How'd that happen?

I'm always impressed when I meet original watchers. I watched a few eps (before Spike) and it was Buffy and Angel's pained young sniveling love story that got me off it entirely. In 2011, I became smarter and gave the show a chance. 😊

You know what's funny is that I LOVED Buffy/Angel. I was totally on board. I thought Angel was a hot brooding babe and I seriously swooned. I still didn't watch every week. Then Spike showed up and I was like, OH WHAT WAS I THINKING?! I still have that old Entertainment Weekly issue in which SMG says that she suggested Spike/Buffy to Joss and he said, "No more vampires!" HA! Never say never.
