I think if it were not for Mutsu, Sakamoto's business would not go that well - she is the one who is managing most of that business. Sakamoto himself is too trusting and airheaded. Although he probably does have unexpected depths under airheadedness, too ( ... )

According to various gaming fans, virtual boy is an extremely dated console. It wasn't very well received in its time. TIME magazine actually declared it one of the worst inventions ever. XD It appears to be another dig at Zura's outdated tastes. XD

On Sakamoto and Zura's reunion, I think Sorachi wanted to avoid sentimentality and troll our expectations. Hence, instead of a dramatic reunion we had a silly one. XD

Ah, so that's how it is... Thank you for the info, now it makes the whole thing even funnier XD

I suppose you're right, sentimentality really would be out of place in Gintama, silly reunion fits the spirit of the series much more!

Oh, you're right they did mention that console. Only at the time I thought they were making a joke at Gameboy... I've never heard about the Virtual Boy before. And now I'm not surprised - wiki states only 22 games were released for this thing. It also had a stupid 3D vision gimmick that made you wear uncomfortable goggles. Reportedly your head could start hurting from the very fast refresh rate of the picture that was needed to create the 3D illusion. You could feel all around sick and it was definitely not for people with epilepsy.

All in all a total piece of rubbish but now it's a valuable collector's item, because so few of them made it to the market.
