I must admit, while I love my job (and the travel), it would be nice to come home and have someone special to spend some time with. I've made a lot of new friends here, but not that "special someone" yet

Oh, I can just imagine that telephone call:

"Hi, Dad, I'm dating a bloke here in the States. His name is Syphilis..."

My dad would either keel over from a heart attack on the spot or hop the first flight to O'Hare Airport with a machete in hand. :)
