So I'm trying to decide which site I want to buy. I've narrowed it down to two:

Site Option 1

Site Option 2

Here is another site which I think is just too cute, but I can't afford to buy two sites. That is why the above 2 sites will be dual portal (wedding and portait sites), but the site below is more suited for my portrait work.

I would opt for # 1. as I like the all black background. While the colors are muted in #2, the changes from section to section could have a somewhat distracting effect. #1 is clean, easy to navigate, and very straightforward.

all the colour/section variables can be changed...I probably won't keep it like that because I don't like black anyways.

I'm more showing the navigation/design elements

yeah, I've heard horror stories about it from some...and high praise from others.

I've looked at other options for templates and unfortunately nothing compares to what I see from Blu. I won't be hosting with them, so I hope that it goes smooth otherwise.

You buy the template which includes the entire back-end database, and you can change colours, sections, add your own photos, etc.

You don't code anything outside of some basic HTML stuff....

It also includes the calendar feature, the option to add on video, music built in, and the password protected client galleries. One of the templates (the 3rd listed) even has a shopping cart feature (which I LOVE).

wow, i always thought you coded your own.... but, the 3rd one (the one you liked for your portraits) is really awesome. it's cute. flash is a pain to code.... i can see why you would buy the templates... :)

You REALLY don't want a BluDomain. :(

Did you check out CMD? Or maybe the new Livebooks?

I don't like any of CMDs sites...not even remotely. Not sure what it is, but they just don't jump out at me.

Livebooks is insanely priced for the product and the fact that unless you get the "pro" version you have to add everything else on.
The sites are pretty, but very basic to me.

I just really love Blu's interfaces and designs. I've loved them for a long time now but never wanted to spent the money. Now I can and need to....
