Hazy Year in Review...

Jan 02, 2013 14:34

Well the New year is here again and once again I  can’t remember a damn thing that happened last year LOL! I really should write in my Journal more so I can look back and remember  the things I did the previous year. Anyways, here is my vaguely remembered year in review:

January

Unemployed (a second time, considering I’d just quite working with the Post Office, a job I could only stick with for about a month) and none too happy.

February/March

Seriously, these two months are just non-existent in my mind. I can’t remember a damn thing from them. They might as well be the month of “Farch” for all I can remember. Damn Farch weather!

April

Turned….ugh…34 years old. I’m now officially middle-aged. This was an age I just thought I’d NEVER be and the funny thing is I will be 35 soon which is even more crazy. I’ve warned all my friends that 40 will be a total mid-life crisis for me. Don’t be surprised if I buy a sports car and marry a crazy gigolo stripper husband when I turn 40 LOL!

May

The Avengers Movie, the first time in ten years that I went to see a movie, voluntarily more than once. The other movie was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Loved this movie to bits and pieces and can’t wait for some of the Marvel movies coming out this year (Iron Man). I’m actually looking forward to Superman movie, which will totally not be Dark Night Rises 2.

June

Um….not very clear, mostly just looking for work, going to the movies and preparing for comic con. See below.

July

Went to Comic Con with jenlan and had a great time. This Comic Con was more laid back (well as laid back as Comic con can be considering the lines). Jenlan and I basically were in Hall H, the biggest room, for most of the weekend. The panels that stick out are Walking Dead, The Hobbit and Drug Boy Robert Downey Jr. acting a funny crazy fool at the Iron man Panel.

aachannoichi ame to visit and I had a great time with her also. It was the first time she’d been out to California since 2004 and it was great to go to some of the places I took her to then. One being the beach where, as this is San Francisco was gloomy, but Aachan took a picture of a Hipster which was hilarious. We also got to go back to SF State which I hadn’t been to in about 4 years and went to Stonestown Mall which is still a hot mess LOL!

August

Began to finally get some Job Interviews after months of sending in resumes . Interviewed with a couple of Health Companies which unfortunately didn’t work out. Also went to a Jpop festival in Japantown which was cute, but the Cherry Blossom Festival is sooo much better.

September

Eat Real Food Festival in Oakland, Ca. Really one of the best fests in the Bay Area and something I really want to go to every year. Basically its about 100 food trucks from all over the Bay Area that come to Jack London Square in Oakland and sell their food. Soooo yummy. Also did more interviews, including the place I’m working at now which made me interview 3 TIMES! What’s up with that. My nephew Erik Robert Johnson was born!

October

FINALLY GO T A DAMN JOB!!! The company I’m working for interviewed me 3 times and I was running out of hope when they finally called me back for the job. Thank god!

November

Got to see my brother and his Family in Texas for Thanksgiving. Also got to see my precious new born nephew Erik. Started working again after nearly 2 years of Unemployment.

December

Working and very happy to be, made presents this year instead of buying a lot of things. Had a very comfortable Christmas and for the first time in 2 years wasn’t crying my eyes out because I didn’t have a job.

2013 - My goal for this year is to just focus on myself. I’m just not going to worry about outside problems like I usually do. Also I want to stay ahead of the game. I’m currently working on a temp job, which I’m very greatfull to have, but I want to continue looking for a permanent position. I want to be happy as myself and be confident.
