Star Wars in Concert - a fantastic show!

Grrr... sometimes I hate LJ. I had a very long post with photos in the works and hit the back button by mistake and lost it all *sigh*

So, I'm starting over.

I had a very busy Star Wars costuming weekend. Saturday we were busy from 9:00-5:00 with an appearance at Pottery Barn Kids at one mall, then taeriel and I drove to another south bay mall to appear

Too bad about the timing with your cousin's wedding. Who knows, if the concert is a smash hit maybe they will return to some cities? (We heard rumors of it from people working the souvenir stands, but who knows if they know what they are talking about...)

Thanks for the great event report and photos! Really gives me a good idea of what to expect when the show comes to Ottawa in late November. Some of us in Ottawa will also be helping out at the Montreal show the next night, so I think I'll do what you did - watch one show and then enjoy the exhibit at the next show. LOVE the Leia tshirt!!

Depending on the city and venue, some places have been more jam packed than others. So given that there was no show in "San Francisco" the San Jose show pulled people in from the entire San Francisco bay area - a major marked. I think our crowds and experience were similar to Los Angeles.

Sacramento was a smaller market, our base XO reported that the only costume volunteer to have a crowd around him was Vader. The rest of the volunteers could move around easily.

I do think if your goal is to really look at the exhibits carefully and take nice reference photos that you'd need to sit out one of the shows if you have two in your area. Or if you are a soft costumer, come fully dressed to the show. That way you can use thd 45 mintues or so before door opening to look at exhibits before the crowds rush in!

Yeah, finally some Leia T-shirts! It's a bit on the thin side, maybe it should be layered with another T?

Thanks for your report, sounds like a great event :) I really hope it makes it way closer here, Australia perhaps... Love the Leia tshirt :)
