I think people are hypocrites. People who think fashion is so brainless and shallow are full of shit. Why is decorating a canvas considered art, but decorating yourself considered a shallow waste of time? I love art in it's many forms, but especially self expression through fashion and fashion design

The eye for detail is the thing that separates her from... say, Jennifer Lopez. "JLo" is a supposed designer now, but what she really does is take things made by other designers and "approves" them, because she doesn't have the eye for it. She has people make things, then she says, "Ooh, I like this. This will be a Jlo original"

It's for you to see and think, wow. That fits that model. That designer really knew her.

Here are the the four types of definition-geniuses:

Tons of people do. I know a lot of sculptors, painters, and musicians... And many of them scoff at people who admire fashion. They think it's all about vanity, when in reality it's just another medium. Your body is your canvas. A canvas that everyone will see. Isn't it an artists dream to share your work, and maybe inspire people?
