Gakked from ruisseau

I'm passing this on because this girl seriously rocks. I wanna be her science geek groupie.

And indeed, the boycott is silly. What I'd like to do is show up somewhere they're going to be giving out the free books, take one, calmly flip through to the end of the 50-page introduction, and tear it out. With a polite smile, hand that ( Read more... )

Man, I'm trying to see if KU is among those 50, but can't find a list. Of course, the main website for this project has a letter from Ray saying people can buy them and distribute them to campuses, that it's the "Christian thing to do." It just baffles me how they totally alienate the very large part of the scientific community that just so happens to be Christian as well as evolutionist!

This sounds like something the Phelps crew might jump all over and bring to the KU campus except that it wasn't his idea, so maybe not.

Poor, poor Darwin. And to think -- the man only realized just a fraction of what we know about evolution now and yet will be ridiculed and slandered for it for some time by a very loud, obnoxious minority (thankfully).

::shrug:: I don't mind checking out the difference of opinion. Darwinism is pretty flawed and I'm not a zealot. Although an anti-Darwinism intro done by the opposition means it will probably be as accurate as a Micheal Moore movie.

Darwin was racist? A womanizer? DUH... blacks were slaves and women didn't have many rights either...

It's a shame, one could make a very valid point against evolution itself, but slandering Darwin stuck out as an indications that it is not a valid point against Darwin's theories, just a lot of disrespect. Granted, that's what many secular humanists hit the Christians with, so I'm not shocked.

I like how the slavic gal is explaining US rights to the video of Kirk Cameroon. Some people can have a serious faith and still work. But Kirk jumped the shark when he became a VeggieTale crusader. At least for the 61% of us with higher educations. ;-)

Origin of Species is our Bible and Darwin is our Prophet. Sheesh, I figured a U.U. guy would know such things! ::snicker::
