A martial arts teacher once told me If you are riding a stationary bike while reading a book, you are neither riding a bike, nor reading a book.

I have been doing nothing for too long. I must learn how to dedicate myself mentally to whatever task is at hand instead of, say, posting to LiveJournal.

Bollocks to it all. I'm just going to throw a suit on, grow out my beard, and ride the rails for the next year. People still do that, right? Well, they do now.

Keith Johnstone wrote about Mask/Trance work in Impro. It's pretty insane. I've seen examples of it in videos, but never experienced it myself. Not directly, anyway. I was exhausted today at work. But I got work done, then ate dinner with Mindan and Brendy, and then did a show at the Hideout. A really fun show. Decent audience, new format, full of energy. Followed by drinks with an improviser I sincerely respect and admire. Good night! And, good night.

There is no rest for the wicked.
It's all worth it, though.
