Tonight was horrible.  No one has made me cry like that since freshman year.
There is one thing that the Foul Puppets keep teaching me, and they want to make sure that I learn the lesson well:
Not everybody wants a mentor.

So, I resign.

Oh, meow. Drama. Stupid teenage drama. Short version: Ali and I took over coaching with the intent to whoop that trouppe into shape and make them the funniest damn teens eva. They resented us for trying to eforce rules (like attending rehearsal) because we are only a couple years older than them. Turns out that they never wanted to be whooped into shape. They wanted to just play silly games on Saturday afternoons. They didn't want to be better, they wanted to be relaxed. Which is fine, except they didn't tell us until last night, when they had a secret meeting to overthrow us. Note to Puppets: Volenteers dont need to be OVERTHROWN. So we are getting them a new leader and getting the fuck out.

i think the moral of that story is that high schoolers suck. they're so awkward and unsatisfied with life that they have to take out their angst on everyone else!! (including kind and generous volunteers)

you should line 'em up and kick em each in the face.
