Our first potential hurricane of the season is on the way--hopefully the last as well. Maybe we'll get to go home early or even get a day off from work. I just hope they don't wait until it's too bad before they let us go home. All schools are open tomorrow so it won't be until Tues or Wed. If the models are right, we are headed for a direct

I've been so out of it, I didn't even know Fay had been named! Yikes! I hope it doesn't gain strength. My dad's in Sarasota; I guess I should keep better track of these things. LOL!
We also saw a Florida Panther on the way home while we were out in the middle of no where.
*squee* I had heard that, on top of sprawl forcing them into more populated areas, their own population has remained pretty good. I think I'd freak out with delight if I came across one in the world. Yet another reason I hate having an outside kitty cat, who'd make such a tasty snack for wildlife. ;)

I did!!! I was so yelling and jumping up and down (in the car, no less)! Poor kitty probably heard me and will never come out of the woods!

I have the pictures uploaded and will try and post tomorrow. It looks like the hurricane has fizzled into a tropical storm and will hit more of the east coast at least for now. Those things tend to have a mind of their own.

See? This is why Britain is such an attractive place to eat. We have nothing lurking in the undergrowth that might want to eat us. No poison ivy either!
