Our first potential hurricane of the season is on the way--hopefully the last as well.  Maybe we'll get to go home early or even get a day off from work.  I just hope they don't wait until it's too bad before they let us go home.  All schools are open tomorrow so it won't be until Tues or Wed.  If the models are right, we are headed for a direct ( Read more... )

Apparently, people are not responding well to the idea that outsourcing our jobs WILL happen and it will happen soon.  Some other departments had their meeting today to inform them of when their last day of work will be and it's within two months.  Later on, a bomb scare was called in.  I am in building one and my daughter is in building two where ( Read more... )

One down, two to go!!  My eldest is graduated from college!!  It was not easy as once high school was over he did not want to continue but he made it and he did really well.  He has NO immediate plans for the future but he does have that bachelor's degree so I'm happy at least for now ( Read more... )

Something is definitely going on at work and I think there will be a big change within the next few months.  My manager has been very upset with her manager and I think that my manager may be thinking of moving on in the company; like moving to company headquarters.  I will miss her very much if she does but this is not for her.  I still am ( Read more... )
