Ten years ago or so, back when I was in High School still and thought I knew everything, I hated the term "Woodlands Snob" that was so often applied to me simply because of where I lived.  It irritated the ever living hell out of me that I was thought to have my nose in the air, have more money, etc because of the address of my mother's apartment.

Saw this over on Jan's LJ and thought it looked kinda fun. Eh, why not?

Step 1: Put your music player of choice on random.
Step 2: Post the first line or 2 from the first 32 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Let everyone guess what song and artist the lines come from.

So, as most of you either have xerj or tash-mac friended, you know how things stand here in The Woodlands. Trees down everywhere (some even on houses and apartments and cars), power out for the vast majority of the area - I even saw a giant highway billboard through the roof of an apartment building just a bit up north of our joint. We finally managed to get our modem from AT&T and have the nets at home. Their screw ups have cost them nearly $300 in refunds, credits, etc to compensate for the insanity of the past two weeks ( Read more... )

I spent the weekend at war with AT&T. They had some system error and our modem was never sent out. SIGH. It was supposed to have shipped overnight yesterday, to be here today. Keep your fingers crossed that it will be here when it's supposed to be. If so, I'll make another post tonight.
