Well, my thought process right now is to get a new job. Or just a second part-time thing. I'm going to apply for this position at VIBE magazine as a HR Assistant. I just need to update my resume. cheers to you for holding your ground!

it's so odd.....my parents always tried to make me promise not to go get married and pregnant too soon.....at my sister's wedding, they wanted me to promise i wouldn't get married for another five years....give them time to recooperate....

.....but go you.....stand your ground......also......i think it's awesome that you've considered adopting someday....that's so wonderful that there are people who want to bring in babies/kids that need homes already....i just thnk that's awesome.....

thanks for the nice props! You are more than kind. i think that it's definitely a culture thing with my mom wanting me to get married and have babies. she was brought up in a time where the "man" maintained the household, and any woman who wasn't married by the age of 20 was considered an old maid, I think it's a load of crap. i really don't need anyone to maintain my sweet behind. i would want to more than ever to break that preception. i'm seriously considering adoption. maybe not now but definitely in the future when i'm a lot more stable- financially. the sky is the limit and it feels great that we live in a time where i can make these decisions. now, the only thing i need to figure out is, what is it i want... i'm sorry if i'm treating you like a therapist it's that you are such a great listener..

not at all! i love talking things out and listening and trying to help out with people's troubles and stuff.....i guess sometimes i feel like maybe i went through all the obstacles and heartaches i have, just to be able to help someone else through something later on.....
