After taking quite the respite from LJ, I'm back... Thanks to those who've missed my absence and to those who haven't, I completely understand... For whatever it's worth, know that I've been reading up on posts, but, alas, just haven't had the will to write

The next day we called our friend and professional handyman, Dave, and he had to get on the roof somehow to fix it... but, he did... :)

Mom here... First five days were wonderful, but the last four, I think she was ready to go home...

Oh my word. I can't think of many guests, especially of the familial flavor, who wouldn't be clawing at the doors and windows to get home after nine days. Wow!

Yeah... I hope she realizes, as we do, that nine days is a bit much, no matter how much you love someone! :)
