Well, if there was going to be a party, Chloe wanted to know how to dance for it. Never mind part of her wanted to mentally do research for a film. She can see it now: a medieval Keep, a night of horrors--this could prove to be fun!
And there's no way Chloe would let Derek get out of attending this. She wanted to be able to dance with him. Truth be told, she was more than eager to commiserate with him on the dance floor. The teasing spark in her eyes would be ceaseless.
So Chloe arrives to the bower, Derek with her, and her expression lights up when she sees some familiar faces.
With a chuckle, Chloe starts on the beat Kairi indicated, laughing lightly as her feet misstep quite a few times. She has to watch the others for a moment before she is able to follow their example, and she looks to Derek and Kairi's feet a time or two, trying to stifle her amusement as she nearly trips and falls flat on her face.
Well. This will take some getting used to. At least she was among friends, and didn't mind too terribly if she was making a fool out of herself.
Yet.
Her cheeks are turning a light tinge of pink, however, as she keeps her gaze focused on the floor.

Alex isn't quite sweating yet, but there is beginning to be that healthy glow to his skin as he moves from dance to dance and partner to partner. He was partially distracting himself with all of this, really preferring not to think about his boyfriend getting himself into an abysmal amount of trouble over the girl that had gotten everyone sick a month ago.
A familiar scent drifts his way and he looks around, smiling widening as he sights on Chloe in the bower. He's certain Derek is somewhere around as well, but it wouldn't stop his approach one way or the other.
He smiles down at his friend as she walks over to meet him, canines flashing briefly. "Wouldn't be here if I wasn't looking for an enjoyable way to spend the evening, that's for sure."
Then he nods, huffing out a breath, gaze glancing back at those still partnered and dancing. "Yeah, a lot, really... I did similar stuff at renn faires back home, but this is pretty awesome. It's amazing the amount of energy people have in them."
He then looks back at her, eyes bright and curious. "Have you had the chance to dance at all, yet?"
Another wide grin. "Well I'm glad you're here. Derek won't be able to complain to me later, seeing as how he has friends here, too. Besides, I don't think it would be too big of a stretch to say you're the life of the party."
Following his gaze, Chloe watches everything with open curiosity. "It's amazing how many things people can do even in our worlds, that I've never before participated in." Chloe kind of felt like she was missing out on a lot of amazing experiences.
Looking at Alex with only mild trepidation, a bit of an uneasy grin finds her lips. "Nope. None at all." Suddenly her whole body felt stiff as a board, and Chloe looked out over the dance floor again as if they were accomplishing the impossible. "I may very well have lead feet. Or--w-well... I was hoping to learn but..."
But now her stomach was full of butterflies and beginning to cramp with nerves. What if she made a fool out of herself?

"See? This won't be so bad."
Then she makes her way fully into the room.

It only takes her a few seconds to figure it out; Chloe's teasing Derek.
She can go along with that.
"Okay, ready?" She takes a moment to count out the beats, oblivious to how much she sounds like she's calling the start of a race, "Go!"

"Hey, Chloe!"
Have that charming smile, Chloe, dear!
