It was amazing how much work was necessary for a small get together, but also how quickly and easily it went with the help of another person. Especially when that person happened to be on staff

There's no way Bobby'd miss a party. Especially not when he knew the person throwing it. He'd headed down to the green pretty much as soon as he'd read the note in the journal, definitely eager to get to know people better.
He was drawn to the food and drink table almost immediately, investigating the colorful cupcakes and the bowl of punch. And then, because he couldn't help himself, he made a medium sized ice sculpture - a mini version of the Keep - on the table next to the drinks.
Tetsu disregard the greeting, still too busy staring at the ice castle now decorating the table. After a few seconds, his expression changes from surprised to impressed as he grins and shifts his attention from the sculpture to Bobby.
And around then was when Bobby started getting the tiniest bit nervous. Silence and staring after use of his powers tended not to lead to very good outcomes.
...except in this case, apparently! Bobby grinned back, brightening considerably.
"Thanks! I thought the table could use something decoratively shiny."
It's a compliment. As close as Testu ever gets to giving one anyway. The totetsu isn't easily impressed, but even where he comes from it's rare to see someone with those kind of abilities. It's even more surprising to see them come from a human.
"Well, alright!"
He leans in closer to the castle and pokes it carefully with a finger. It's firm and cold, completely made out of ice.
Bobby was definitely going to take it as a compliment. He chuckled as Tetsu poked at the ice Keep, still smiling.
"I can create ice. Well, technically I lower the temperature of the moisture in the air, but same thing. I can make it into whatever shape I want, as long as I concentrate. Kind of like sculpting."
"A mutan-Hey!", Tetsu startled and swung his arm up, using the finger he had previously been poking the ice with to point at Bobby. "You're that man from before! The human from the book thin'!"
Bobby blinked for a moment, before suddenly realized why this guy sounded familiar. "Oh, right! I talked to you when you just got here. You're the-" He paused. "Uh. Thing I can't remember how to pronounce!"
The 'nice to meet you' is a strange human greeting he doesn't really understand-not that he gets it very often. Being polite is a human thing and animals don't generally have much use for manners. Tetsu, being far from the exception, just shrugged and waved the greeting off.

It'd be a lie to say Raven hadn't been sort of avoiding Bobby since she'd been here. She could deny it all she wanted - but the fact that she had ducked around people in order to avoid detection should really confirm it for her.
She really had to stop being ridiculous, so she took a deep breath and marched up next to him.
"Cool statue," she commented casually, swirling her mostly empty punch cup.
It was a very good thing Bobby didn't know she'd gone to the extent of ducking behind people to avoid him, because it would have definitely made him sad. All right, he probably would've found it pretty funny, too, especially if he'd actually caught her at it.
Still sad though.
But he didn't know! So he just smiled brightly when she approached, thrilled to see her there.
"Hey, Raven! And thanks. I can never resist the urge to make something with ice with the opportunity presents itself."
It was probably for the best that he didn't catch her ducking behind Kevas - the giant troll had been less than impressed with her display and Raven had felt pretty foolish the entire time.
Besides, she wasn't blue and creepy tonight. She learned her lesson - don't shift too much, and she's fine.
Too bad it takes half of her concentration just to stay like this.
"I don't blame you, I'd do it too." She leans to get a better look. "Having fun so far?"

"Since when were humans capable of somthin' like that. You a magician?"

Yeah, smooth, Bobby.
"Nice to actually meet you in person."

"Totetsu. It's not that hard to remember."

"Yeah, whatever."

"Right! Totetsu. I'll remember it now."
Crap. He'd gone and offended him. Which, well, what did Bobby expect when he couldn't even remember how to pronounce what he was?
"Sorry. I've kind of been overloaded with a lot of new stuff recently."

He shifted his weight and moved to lean against the table. It's not his problem that this human couldn't even remember his species's name, but...Hmph.
"Just call me Tetsu. That might be easier for ya," He grumbled.

"Tetsu? I can do that." He nodded, smiling slightly. "I'm Bobby."
