Across the Keep runs a rather large spider, scampering from building to building, room to room and carrying with him a decent sized branch of mistletoe. One might catch him skittering up a wall to build a web above a doorway, or stringing mistletoe up from various points on the ceiling.
He doesn't linger in any particular place for too long, save

Just another excuse to kiss her.
"Hey. Think you've been caught."

She grinned at Matt and gestured for him to come closer with a finger.

He saunters up to her, hands slipping around her waist and drawing her in close.
"I don't think I really need an excuse to kiss you, but it doesn't hurt to have one, does it?"

Liz hadn't seen Joe's entry, and this would of course bite her right in the butt! :D
She was a bit off since returning from her six days locked in the room with Sollux; not because it was Sollux, but because it had been a rather introspective time for her. She'd contemplated things that had never before come to mind, like her own immortality.
Needless to say, she's not paying attention until she actually walks into the webbing strewn across the library entrance. She makes a small sound of surprise, getting caught about halfway through as she conveniently goes solid. Blinking, she looks at where her arm is caught and her eyes slowly begin to widen as she scans the library and takes in all of the webbing everywhere.
"Umm... hello?"
She reaches, unthinking, to free her hand with her other one... thereupon getting her other hand stuck to ( ... )

This ginger had only ever kissed somebody once in her entire waking life. That had been a disaster. Never again. Never again!

Wolf was barely out of the house back home, and, come on, why would her brothers put up mistletoe when it was usually only the seven of them? That would just be weird. Jake had been the only one who had a mate, and they didn't need silly old mistletoe to make out whenever the urge struck them.
So Wolf honestly doesn't have a clue as to what the green plants hanging from the ceiling are, and she really couldn't care less. She's to busy looking for scraps of metal and stuff for Megaminds quite late Christmas present, and something to use as transportation for Kevas.

Sarea was one of the people he would not mind seeing one bit, so when he happens upon her, he wastes no time in coming up to her.
“Sarea - look at this, did you see my calculations with this compass? It’s madness, it spins and spins and spins, you can’t hardly get any information out of it…”

Mentally she's thanking God she doesn't have any of his present on her person, since that would be no fun.
His words make her frown, though, and she peers at the compass, head tilting. "What the hell? It should be pulled somewhere, right? Unless... what?"

He leans in close, and whispers confidently;
"It means, my dear Sarea, that there are no poles - wherever we are. There's no magnetic pull. It's proof that we are not on earth, instead of simple mere speculation."
Mistletoe? What are mistletoe? SCIENCE!

Not that the plants in themselves seemed particularly dangerous; he's got quite a few of them bunched up in one hand, examining leaves and berries curiously, but Starscream had merely provided dictionaries, and, in some cases, explanations or descriptions... usually of what seemed to be the local variation of popular culture.
But he'd seen the entry in the journal which gave a concise, if not very... clear explanation. Why would a particular plant carry such a meaning?
It was just rather... strange.

She approached and waved up at him, waiting to be acknowledged.

"Jael." He smiled briefly, cocking his helm in inquiry as he offered up the plant for a better view. "Does your world have any traditions about this, as was explained in the journal entry?"
He's a bit curious if she did, really, since maybe she'd be able to explain what it was about, if so. Otherwise... It didn't really matter. Though he couldn't help being interested in the reasons behind it.

/My people never did. Our winter festival is different from this human celebration. If the humans did have a tradition similar to this, I never encountered it./
