it's really hard to believe that it's been almost one year since Katrina. it doesn't seem like it at all. and it doesn't even look like it. if you drive around in many places, things still look basically the same as they did months and months ago. I think it sucks that 7 of the 9 shows coming up at The High Ground are metal/hardcore shows. (by the way, have you realized that people aren't using the term "hardcore" much anymore? they've switched to calling everything metal) now, you can disagree and say, "Wait Adrianne. I finally finished up my High Ground documentary. Actually, I finished it about a month or so ago, but I finally got the voice overs done on Friday thanks to Rob. I think it came out really well. today was my 18th birthday. and just like every other birthday since I was 13, there was nothing at all special about it. but that seems to be the trend with bigger events in my life. i.e. graduation. they're never anything special. maybe that's my fault. so tomorrow is my 18th birthday. I'm glad it's finally here. sure, it's just one more year older than 17, but 18 just has a nice ring to it. it makes you sound and feel just that much older. plus, a lot more perks come with being 18 than with 16 or 17. not many I plan on taking advantage of, but nonetheless.
