Random rants at 5am are FUN

So I spent two hours at work looking up random things on Wikipedia... that site is freakin godly. I ended up reading about what was called Omnipotence Paradox, which is basically ( Read more... )

Oooh.

Well, a bottomless pit has a beginning, but no end, right? the top of a bottomless pit is where, if the pit were filled, it would be level ground. However, infinite quantity has no beginning or end. The only difference between a bottomless pit and an infinite tube that could be around infinite quantity would be that top.
I guess what I'm getting at is, infinite quantity seems like it SHOULD be able to fill up a bottomless pit, simply because it's not limited even in the slightest.

rofl i have never tried to type quantum theories in live journal before ;_;

It SHOULD be able to fill it, but that would imply there a bottom to the pit, and so bottomless pits wouldn't exist, so infinite quantities shouldn't I think x.x

perhaps one should think of it more like a tube.. which is what a bottomless pit would be.. an infinitely long tube that well goes on infinitely.. and there an infinite quantity could fit into it.

Well that'd only work if the infinite quantity grew as fast/faster as the bottomless pits infinity..

Then it would reach the I guess theoretical bottom, even though the bottom is always getting deeper
thats a pretty neat way to think of it :3

The boyfriend got reaaaly into quantum physics as well. He spent an entire semester (as an English major) reading about it, and getting all excited about all the questions he was going to ask my dad when we got back home.
