Friends visiting is always good times, but this time was actually pretty great. The first two nights were relatively lame, but last night we heard their was a show, so Gen and I grabbed a few beers and headed out. That's nice to know that the punk rock scene to you is about acceptance....I never felt the scene in comox/courtenay felt the same way. I used to go to shows wearing not-so-punky clothes and I always felt like I didn't belong by the way I was looked at and some of the comments I received.

That's why I think scenes are stupid. Because if you don't look a certain way you're automatically not accepted. I don't know what the fuck it is with people and clothes anyway. Who gives a flying fuck. If you're going to judge someone based one what they're wearing you don't deserve friends anyway. If you want to look "alternative" or "emo" or "punk" that's fine...just don't look down upon those who don't. And even though these days I deffinately have my own style going on, It still doesn't mean that if I go to a show i'm going to judge someone who isn't. And if I do, it's only because i'm bitter about being judged myself ( ... )
