ABBA Rules!

Oh my gosh! Mamma Mia! is such a fun movie. Who knew that Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan could sing (or Colin Firth for that matter)? I laughed so hard throughout the whole movie. There was even a part that was so funny that I managed to spray Mt. Dew all over myself. I'm talking Old Faithful. I had just started to take a drink and had my head ( Read more... )

the play was soooo much better!

Then again I am a sucker for musicals. Even though it was a little darker, take a look into across the universe. It is a movie based on the entire beatles white album.

I want to see the play really bad. I just haven't had a chance to (lack of funds does that). I have Across the Universe in my Netflix queue. I'm a sucker for musicals too. =)

I must agree that ABBA rules. and on the subject of nose passing... right up towards the top of my list of things that should never be ejected through the nose is hot coffee. Just take my word for it.

Brosnan can "technically" sing, however whether it is good or no it a separate matter.

I couldn't get into the movie. It was alright for what it was, but Sophie bugged me - she had no personality, and her big revelation at the end was "my dream in life is to do exactly what my man wants me to do!!!" Ugh! Plus, the time didn't add up - Meryl is about 15 years too old. She was supposed to be very young when she got pregnant, and Sophie is only 20 in the movie, which means Meryl should be late 30s/early 40s. Plus, it's all 70's themed, but 20 years ago was 1988. Unless the movie is set in the early 90s, it doesn't work.

But the music was good.
