So for the service, it turns out we got the minister who was available that day, the other two in town (Nashville, Georgia is a small place) had prior commitments that could not be broken. That is really appalling (what the preacher did). If it weren't completely not my place I'd write that fucker a letter filled with shame and disgust for his existence.

I'm sorry to hear that this happened though. I have personal problems with death and it pains me to see those I know having to cope with it.

Perhaps that's a common theme priests try to convey at funeral services. The priest at my grandmother's funeral a few months back was at least competent but the entire thing was practically be a christian or else.

She was raised Baptist and specifically wanted there to be a preacher at her funeral, so, you know, that's the only reason he was there. We did what she wanted... for whatever that was worth.

It's done now, either way.

Fuck, was that man ever stupid. If I'd known he could read about as well as a four year old, I would have gotten up and just read the damn passage myself. X_x
