no more lonely socks
So I decided to be brave and try my hand at 2 at a time socks. I bought two different books: 2-At-A-Time Socks by Melissa Morgan-Oakes and Knitting Circles Around Socks by Antje Gillingham.

Ashley loved her hat. she has a "tiny Head" so it's a little slouchy on her. but this make it look so much better! i have to take a picture of her wearing it. she looks adorable. i now have to make some pocket book slippers for my aunt's birthday next month. i really like making these with wool, because felting them makes them so much better. i finished a hat tonight for a girl at work. i hope she likes it. it's the santa cruz pattern from magknits. then i played Pirates of the Caribbean online for 2 hours. jeremy wonders if he will ever see me again. aye, mateys nerd nerd nerd. -
pocketbook slippers!
So i was working on this pattern called pocketbook slippers. i made a pair for myself out of some patons that i had lying around. the color is called rosewood. lovely boyfriend who does all the laundry (because i REFUSE to go in the basement where the washer & dryer are located) accidently felted my slippers.

sunday knitting
today i was able to get a taste of spinning thanks to licraftgal and "wheezie". fun stuff. i can definitely see myself doing this in the future. i'll give it a couple of years when i have a more stable life routine (and a more stable financial situation!) it was very relaxing and soothing. i also learned a new cast-on method from oftroy which ( Read more... ) -
crocheting
i have picked up crocheting. i bought a ton of Red Heart acrylic yarn from ollie's discount store for a buck a skein while visiting my parents. i started crocheting a basic granny square. the color is variegated blue/white. i want to do a dark blue border around all of the squares.. so far i have about 25 done. they are fun, easy, and mindless ( Read more... ) -
Felting.
I'm in the process of felting a bag right now. This would be my second felted project. It's on a second wash cycle right now. I've used Cascade 220. My first felted project used Paton's classic wool merino. This cascade has taken longer to felt.
