It's so funny and interesting to read about these changes from your perspective (as opposed to my usual perspective as your new renter's wife!). I can only imagine the relief you feel--our soon-to-be-sold house has become the physical symbol of our emotional distress, and leaving it has done me a world of good. I know that Jeff is excited to move in at the loft, and it really feels like a space that will work for both of us if/when we are able to repair the things that have led to our separation. Congrats on the new place and the new chapter in the life of the Bensons!

It's funny how a house can hold so many memories and energies. This loft was perfect for the US that was just two. We filled it with love and friends. It was also perfect when I was pregnant. It kept me moving, walking, and going to the gym. It was a tranquil environment for both of us for so long... until there were three...

Three tipped the scales just a bit too far. It was good for a few months, until the sleeping sort of stopped, and then it was a shambles. Now! We have some sleeping again, but we also have a guy who is has no motor control and a budding interest in our many dangerous stairs.

Anyhow, this loft is full of good relationship energy. We got engaged, planned a wedding, made and had a baby in the loft... There will always be a part of me wishing that we could have kept this place to ourselves forever. I hope you two will find some good healing here!! I am leaving it with a whole lot of love.
