now that i don't have health insurance, i have strep throat. lovely. does anyone have some antibiotics they never used that they'd like to donate to my broke ass? i'm sure i have some in my cupboard that expired in '97 or something, but i just don't know how effective they would be.

are there any natural "cures" you know of that i could try?

Gargle with salt water. It lyses the bacteria.

Or call your doctor's office and beg them to write you a prescription without a visit. It works sometimes.

Honestly, I get strep throat all the time, ignore it, and it just goes away. There is a chance it could get REALLY, REALLY nasty untreated, however, in which case you just go to the ER and apply for charity care.
