My laptop runs Vista Home edition.  Yeah, I know but the weekend (May 07) we bought our laptops, you could not purchase anything but Vista.  I asked every sales guy in every store we visited.  And truth be told, Jimmy's Gateway has proven to be a fine purchase with very few issues.  Mine on the other hand, not so much.  Despite much tinkerage, I am ( Read more... )

I've had connectivity issues with my new computer too, and have wondered if it's Vista. It's of the devil, for sure.

Have you asked Seth about this? Of course, he hates Vista and wil probably just take it off and install XP, but who knows... I am sure he can be helpful.

XP > Vista, no doubt. Maybe Kelly's shareware proggie's just making sure *eeeeevr'ybody* knows. So long as she doesn't name it HAL, I think she's good. 'Cause would you want to give HAL connectivity? I didn't think so.

Install, XP.
That's what I would do. Edward and Missy had problems and i think the bought the Ultimate edition.

When Microsuck starts puting out hardware that will only run on vist, then we're screwed.
I avoiding Vista as long as I can.
